Peter Bokor

Board Member

Peter Bokor has had an eclectic career spanning the humanities, science, and social service. He studied classical languages at Brown University and taught Latin before earning a doctorate in molecular genetics from The Rockefeller University. He later completed an MSW and worked as a clinical social worker, primarily with men experiencing homelessness who were also struggling with addiction.

Peter has been a trustee of the Morton and Jane Blaustein Foundation for over thirty years, with recent philanthropic work focused on climate change and climate justice. He has served on the board of We Act for Environmental Justice and on the scientific advisory board of OurClimate. He first traveled with AJWS to Uganda in 2017 and looks forward to future learning opportunities. Peter and his wife, Jeannie Blaustein, have supported AJWS for many years, and he is honored to join the board.
