Kathy Reich currently serves as Executive Director of a private family foundation and has spent more than two decades in the philanthropic sector. Prior to taking on her current role, she led a $2 billion global initiative at the Ford Foundation to strengthen key institutions that fight inequality. Earlier in her career, Kathy directed a program at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation that helped grantees around the world strengthen their strategy, leadership, and impact. She also has worked as a foundation program officer, a policy director of a nonprofit, and a legislative assistant for a United States Senator.

In addition to her board service with AJWS, Kathy is a proud member of the board of Repair the World. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Kathy has two adult children and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, a cuddly white dog, and a highly opinionated cat.
