Kathleen served on the AJWS Board for 12 years, holding many leadership roles including Chair of the Board. Prior to her move to New York, she served on the board of the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles and chaired the Los Angeles JCRC Legislative Affairs Committee. She is a past chair of the American Jewish Congress Pacific Southwest Division and the Los Angeles Regional Family Planning Council and also served on the boards of The Hadassah Foundation and Dorot. Professionally, Kathleen has her MSPH and worked for the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the California State Senate and the U.S. Congress, and she is still involved in electoral politics. She is married to Richard Levin and they have three adult children and four grandchildren together. Kathleen splits her time between New York City and the lower Hudson Valley.
