Julieta Mendez
Associate Vice President for Programs
Julieta Mendez is the Associate Vice President for Programs at AJWS, where she directs the organization’s humanitarian response grantmaking efforts, provides oversight for the international operations unit, and manages a team of programmatic, grants management and administrative professionals. She also co-leads AJWS’s senior programs leadership team and serves as the Vice President’s deputy and as an ambassador for the organization.
Prior to joining AJWS, Julieta worked at Candid where she served as Senior Director of Network Engagement and before that she was Senior Director of Programs. She also worked as Program Officer for the International Community Foundation overseeing grantmaking programs in Mexico, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Master of Arts in International Relations from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at University of California San Diego.
