Aaron Dorfman is the Vice President for National Programs at AJWS, overseeing the national strategy to mobilize and organize the American Jewish community and its allies in support of policy change to advance the human rights of marginalized people in the developing world.

While serving as AJWS’s Vice President for Programs from 2009 to 2013, Aaron helped shape AJWS’s Theory of Change and Strategic Plan, from which the national strategy emerged. Prior to serving in this role, Aaron founded and directed AJWS’s education department.

Aaron holds an M.P.P. from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, a B.A. in English literature and political science from the University of Wisconsin and a certificate from the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem.
