American Jewish World Service (AJWS) praised Senate passage today of the Sudan Accountability and Divestment Act (SADA) by unanimous consent.

American Jewish World Service (AJWS), an international relief and development organization and a leader in efforts to stem the violence in Darfur, calls on the U.S. Senate to swiftly pass legislation introduced by Senators Chris Dodd (D-CT) and Richard Shelby (R-AL) aimed at cutting off economic support to the government of Sudan.

American Jewish World Service is one of only two non-profit organizations in the country to receive seven consecutive four-star ratings from Charity Navigator, an independent evaluator of more than 5,300 charities.

Urging rapid passage of legislation aimed at providing debt relief to the world’s most impoverished countries, Ruth W.
