Organization’s 4-Star Rating Indicates Sound Fiscal Management and Transparency
New York, NY; March 9, 2012—American Jewish World Service (AJWS), an international development and human rights organization, has earned its 10th four-star rating from independent nonprofit evaluator, Charity Navigator. Four stars represent Charity Navigator’s highest rating and signify that an organization executes its mission in a fiscally and ethically responsible manner.
“American Jewish World Service outperforms most other charities in America,” said Charity Navigator’s President and CEO Ken Berger in a letter to AJWS. “This ‘exceptional’ designation from Charity Navigator differentiates American Jewish World Service from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”
In its first 26 years, AJWS has had an extraordinary impact around the world. It has granted over $116 million to support grassroots organizations in the developing world to build civil society and advance human rights.
