American Jewish World Service (AJWS) warns of increased discrimination
This morning, a day after the President declared Religious Freedom Day, the Administration released a set of proposed regulations, including those at the Department of Health and Human Services and USAID that would allow faith-based organizations to exercise supposed religious liberty in their programming.
“The proposed regulations for faith-based organizations are yet another way for hate and discrimination to masquerade as moral religious belief,” said Rori Kramer, Director of Government Affairs at American Jewish World Service. “These changes would encourage human rights violations against the most vulnerable groups, including women, girls, and LGBTQI+ people.”
