Tenzin Palkyi is the Senior Policy Advisor for Civil and Political Rights at American Jewish World Service. She has over 10 years of experience working with civil society organizations to advance democracy and human rights for Tibetans. Most recently, she served as the Government Relations Officer for the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), managing the CTA’s legislative priorities with the United States government. Previously, as Program Officer for Asia and Global Programs at the National Endowment for Democracy, she oversaw a grant-making portfolio in Nepal and Tibet. She has degrees from the University of Kentucky and Berea College. She completed high school at the Tibetan Children’s Village.
