Rachel Sherman-Presser serves as the Special Projects Coordinator to the Executive Vice President. Prior to joining AJWS, Rachel worked as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of Physicians for Humans Rights. Before that, Rachel spent five years at the American Museum of Natural History working in the Anthropology and Education Departments. Rachel has held internships and graduate assistant positions at Barrier Free Living, the first fully accessible emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence with disabilities, and in the Office of Disability Services at Barnard College where she completed her master’s capstone research focusing on creating community among students with disabilities. Rachel holds an MA in Health Advocacy from Sarah Lawrence and a BA in Anthropology from Barnard College.
