Eva Kolodner serves as the Eastern Region Director of Development at American Jewish World Service. Prior to joining AJWS, Eva spent seven years as Regional Director, East, at Global Fund for Women, raising funding to support women’s movements for justice. Eva previously worked at the International Rescue Committee, and has served on the board of the Reproductive Health Access Project.
In Eva’s earlier career, she produced the film Boys Don’t Cry, which won an Academy Award for Best Actress. In 2019, Boys Don’t Cry was selected for inclusion in the National Film Registry at the Library of Congress, a list created to preserve “works of enduring importance to American culture.”
Eva’s passion for human rights stems from her domestic LGBTQ activism as well as her volunteer service with Empower Foundation in Thailand from 1992-1994. Eva holds a B.A. in psychology from Yale and was named one of Crain’s New York Business’ “40 under 40” in 2002.
