Allison Tamer is the Associate Director of the Eastern Region at American Jewish World Service. She previously served as the Senior Development Officer for Institutional Giving, working with foundations, governments and corporations to advance AJWS’s mission. Prior to joining AJWS in 2013, Allison worked at the Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University, the U.S. Global Leadership Campaign and Harvard Medical School. She also lived in Gulu, Uganda working at a grassroots organization to help promote women’s land rights. She holds a master’s in Human Rights from Columbia University and bachelor’s in International Relations from Boston University.
