Aaron Acharya is responsible for monitoring the risks AJWS and its stakeholders are exposed to and ensuring that there are adequate safeguards, insurances and systems for the organization to continue its work. He also actively participates in AJWS’s response to disasters around the world. Before taking on this role, Aaron served as the Associate Director of International Volunteer Programs and then as the Associate Director of International Operations at AJWS. Prior to joining AJWS, Aaron managed the Human Rights Clinic at HealthRight International, training and managing a network of medical and mental health professionals serving survivors of torture seeking refuge in the United States. Aaron holds a Master of Public Administration from Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.
