Carol Joseph is a former partner and co-chairperson of the business department at Blank Rome LLP. She specialized in real estate finance and development, representing leading lenders, owners and developers in the financing, acquisition and disposition of commercial and multifamily properties. Carol is the recipient of the firm’s first annual Nathanial R. Jones Diversity Award for demonstrating outstanding leadership and promoting diversity within the firm. She was the first woman to receive the Einstein Humanitarian Award from the Professional and Leadership Division of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program for leadership and currently serves on the board of Friends of Shefa School, Inc., an organization creating a Jewish school for special needs children, which she has also chaired, and on the board of The Community Preservation Corporation, a financial services company dedicated to affordable housing. Carol was a member of the first board of directors of Change the Truth Foundation, Inc., a small private foundation that supports St. Mary Kevin Orphanage in Kajjansi, Uganda. An early member of the board of directors of the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan, Carol was co-chair of the human resources committee and served on the executive and budget committees. She also served as chair of the board of the Hadassah Foundation and on the board of directors of Jewish Women’s Archive.
