Bill Resnick earned his M.D. from University of Pennsylvania, completed a psychiatry residency at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and earned an M.B.A. from UCLA Anderson School of Management. He has worked as a community psychiatrist at AIDS Healthcare Foundation and Venice Family Clinic, where he continues to volunteer and serve on the foundation board. He has served as an internal consultant for Roll International Corporation, chairman of the board at Beit T’Shuvah—a residential addiction, treatment and prevention center combining Jewish spirituality, 12-step recovery and psychotherapy—and board president of The Relational Center. He also previously served on the boards of the Center Theatre Group, the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center and In The Life Media. He joined the AJWS Board of Trustees in June 2012. A Los Angeles native, Bill currently lives in West Hollywood. Bill splits his time teaching, volunteering as a psychiatrist and tending to nonprofit board commitments, including at the American Psychiatric Association Foundation, the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA and the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy. He is married to Michael J. Stubbs.
