Bill Resnick earned his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, completed a psychiatry residency at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and earned an M.B.A. from UCLA Anderson School of Management. He has worked as a community psychiatrist at AIDS Healthcare Foundation and Venice Family Clinic, where he continues to volunteer and has served on the board. He worked briefly as a business consultant and has served on over a dozen nonprofit boards, four of which he chaired. Currently he chairs the board of InsightLA. He joined the AJWS Board of Trustees in June 2012 and has traveled internationally with AJWS four times. A Los Angeles native, Bill currently lives in West Hollywood. Bill splits his time teaching, volunteering as a psychiatrist and tending to nonprofit board commitments. In 2018, he started Big Bear Retreat Center. He is married to Michael J. Stubbs.
