Internship Summary

This internship reports to the Executive Vice President and will work on a project designed to improve organizational effectiveness.  The targeted project, at this time, is to assess and redesign the internal communication processes.

The Intern will gain the following skills:

  • How to structure and lead a project
  • How to gather information to assess how a current system is working and what’s not working about it
  • How to introduce and explain new ideas to others
  • What a senior leader needs to think about with regard to effective internal communication

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualizing new ways of working
  • Researching best practices
  • Data/information gathering
  • Project management and communication

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Ability to develop ideas in response to expressed needs of senior leader
  • Powerpoint skills, Excel skills, Creating flow charts
  • Pattern recognition, categorizing information
  • Someone studying corporate communication, HR, or OD would be well suited

How to Apply:

This is a 10-week program, beginning June 11th and concluding August 16th. It is designed for students who have completed at least one year at a college or university. The internship is unpaid but interns may apply for credit or funding through their college or university.
