Crisis in Burma: Support the Rohingya People

Since August 2017, the Burmese military has engaged in a brutal ethnic cleansing campaign against the Rohingya people of Burma (Myanmar), killing thousands and forcing over 688,000 others to flee their homes and make the perilous journey to Bangladesh’s refugee camps.

Join with the Jewish Rohingya Justice Network* to support AJWS’s immediate and long-term humanitarian aid to refugees who are struggling to survive. Your funds will also support Rohingya human rights activists in Burma and around the world in their efforts to stop military violence against the Rohingya community.

All donations will go directly to AJWS’s aid and grantmaking in response to the Rohingya crisis.

*The Jewish Rohingya Justice Network is a consortium of Jewish NGOs advocating for the rights of the Rohingya. Members include American Jewish World Service, Jewish Council for Public Affairs, American Jewish Committee, Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, Union for Reform Judaism, HIAS, Anti-Defamation League, Jewish World Watch, JACOB, T’ruah, Reconstructing Judaism, Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association, Rabbinical Assembly.
