Herbert M. Weiss
Herbert M. Weiss is a commercial real estate attorney with the Boston firm Burns & Levinson. Herb was previously corporate counsel to and executive vice president of the retail division of the Phillip Van Heusen Corporation. He served for a number of years as state chairman for government relations for the ICSC and received the Boston Center for the Arts’ Man of the Year Award for his work to create affordable and subsidized housing for artists. A graduate of Harvard Law School and Wesleyan University, Herb was the original incorporator of AJWS, and served as secretary and counsel until the organization moved its headquarters from Boston to New York. He later held the positions of chair and co-chair of the grants committee.
