Eileen Epstein spent 25 years in professional development in education and the arts, first at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools and subsequently at the Chicago Children’s Choir. She served on the board of the Lying-In Hospital, where she volunteered with teenage mothers, as well as the Hyde Park JCC, the University of Chicago Hillel and the Court Theater. Since leaving the Chicago Children’s Choir, Eileen splits her time between Chicago, where she serves as a trustee of the Jewish Women’s Foundation, and Manhattan, where she volunteers in New York City schools literacy programs. Eileen received her BA from the University of California and her masters in the History of Art from the University of Chicago. Eileen joined the AJWS board of trustees in June 2011.
