REDLAR is a network of more than 250 indigenous, environmental, human rights and women's organizations from 19 countries in Latin America working together to defend land rights and natural resources. REDLAR works to build alliances between groups and design strategies to confront the threats that hydropower development across Latin America are posing to local communities.
- Resisting Dams that are Displacing Communities and Developing Sustainable Energy Alternatives
Purpose: To stop and modify dam projects that are affecting and displacing local communities by ensuring that people affected by dams have access to legal defense and proposing alternatives that will enable communities to regain their land.
