SDF was established in 2000 to promote community-based natural resource management and sustainable development in Thailand. The organization conducts regional projects on sustainable management of natural resources, watershed development, river basin management and coastal zone management.

Purpose: To promote sustainable resource management and food security through sustainable forest use trainings and by advocating for better forestry laws and policies.
