EMPOWER Mae Sai was established in 1999 to provide opportunity, education and support for migrant sex workers in Thailand. The organization builds community leadership and advocates for the rights of these migrants, who are struggling for survival as undocumented workers as a result of fleeing the military regime in Burma.
