Anjaree Group was founded in 1986 by a small group of lesbian feminist activists in order to articulate lesbian issues in the Thai women's movement and in society at large. The organization aims to be the voice of the Thai LBT community and to articulate its needs and demands to policy makers.

To strengthen and educate communities on gender, sexuality and rights by documenting cases of violence and discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities.
