Founded in 1997, AHAM works to alleviate poverty in Trincomalee district and counter the effects of the civil war by promoting livelihood and educational activities for conflict-affected communities, with a particular focus on women.

Livelihood and Psychosocial Support for Women in Trincomalee
To support women's community-based organizations through grants for livelihood activities and collective agriculture, legal support for women whose husbands are disappeared or detained and psychosocial counseling training and activities.
