JSS works in the conflict-affected state of Chhattisgarh to extend health and livelihood support to tribal populations that have been marginalized by the state government due to the ongoing conflict. The organization runs a community health program in 53 tribal villages using trained women's health workers to raise awareness about significant causes of mortality in the region, including malnutrition, water-borne diseases and childbirth.
