IZAD

IZAD works to educate, organize and empower the rural poor to promote development as a liberating force aimed at justice, economic growth and self-reliance and to enable marginalized people to participate at every level in the society. It focuses on women and children, particularly in the oppressed Dalit and Muslim communities. It conducts campaigns against child labor, trafficking, violence against women and female feticide and works to encourage school attendance and women’s empowerment.

Empowerment of Single Women

To advocate for the rights of widows and other single women in Bihar by providing them with education about their legal rights and entitlements; advocacy; and education on domestic violence, economic empowerment and basic health issues; and to strengthen a Bihar branch of a national network for single women's rights.
