The Messenger Band was founded by Womyn's Agenda for Change (WAC) in 2005 to help garment factory workers address issues of social discrimination, violence and exploitation by using song as a form of campaigning and social messaging. The organization has since expanded to reach farmers and sex workers is continuing its process of researching, composing, performing and distributing songs across a variety of media.

Strengthening People's Voices
To educate local communities and voice pressing concerns by conducting field research with garment workers, farmers and sex workers and holding musical performances that highlight key issues affecting their lives.
