Building Community Voices (BCV)

Building Community Voices (BCV)

BCV, established in 2007, emerged out of a need for a unified and collaborative response to the growing level of oppression and isolation experienced by poor communities throughout Cambodia. BCV envisions a Cambodian civil society that is vibrant, proud, led from the bottom, and engaged with its government, and seeks to achieve this by using media as a tool to empower communities to voice and share their concerns.

Community Empowerment Through Mobilization and Media

Purpose: To empower local communities to understand and demand their land and natural resource rights by organizing communities, raising awareness, developing advocacy skills and teaching community members how to use media effectively.
