RENICC was founded in 1996 and consists of 72 NGOs, women’s associations, and cooperatives of agricultural producers and artisans. This community commerce network promotes and generates self management abilities in production and commercialization, and seeks to address problems generated by of commercialization.
Project
Promoting Economic Alternatives
To strengthen cooperative members' capacity to better commercialize their products, continue building alternative markets and defend their economic rights; to conduct exchanges on economic rights, food security and sovereignty and product improvement; to develop an institutional strategic plan for 2011-2016; and to and strengthen the organizational capacity of RENICC's regional councils.
