Asociación LGTB (Lesbian, Gay, Transgender and Bisexual) Arcoiris de Honduras (Arcoiris)

Arcoiris was founded in 2003 to create the Rainbow House, which serves as a center for community leader training and as a base for outreach efforts. Arcoiris is a youth organization, working primarily with commercial sex workers, transvestites, high school students in informal settlements, and imprisoned youth. The organization focuses on HIV prevention and peer support, human rights promotion and defense, and cultural activities on behalf of the LGBT community in Comayagüela.

Project

The Rainbow House

To promote and defend the human rights of LGBT people in Honduras through advocacy initiatives to establish anti-discrimination policies and through trainings with the LGBT community on leadership, economic, social and cultural rights, sexuality, conflict resolution, sexual diversity, gender-based violence, and civic and political participation.
