Diaspora Community Services (DCS)
DCS is a Haitian-led, Brooklyn-based organization that helps Haitian immigrants build skills that enable them to prosper in the U.S. In 2007, DCS founded the Medical and Social Center of Port au Prince (CMSP) to bring comprehensive medical services to underserved communities in Haiti. With only limited funds, CMSP conducts a wide range of programs, including sexual and reproductive health services and weekly educational and recreational programs for women, youth and people living with HIV and AIDS. To date, CMSP has provided medical services to over 20,000 families.
