CEPRESI was founded in 1996 and was one of the few LGBT organizations to be allowed legal incorporation in Central America. The community-based organization works to prevent AIDS and defend human rights among sexual minorities in Nicaragua.

Promoting Healthy Lifestyles Among Men Who Have Sex with Men
To reduce discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and to promote HIV/AIDS prevention through workshops with LGBT leaders about masculinity and sexuality, building HIV/AIDS regional prevention strategies, and conducting a campaign against homophobia.
