Asociacion Cultural y Educativo Ukema No'j (ACEUN)
ACEUN was founded in 1996 to respond to the severe educational limitations faced by children and youth from Mayan communities in the Juyabaj region, due to poverty and the lack of opportunities. The organization offers educational, cultural and artistic programs for children, parents and teachers, and provides scholarships for local youth to study in high schools and universities outside their communities.
