Generación Alternativa, Sara Tovar (G-A)

G-A is a communications collective that empowers youth to create radio, TV and alternative media programming to express their thoughts and feelings about issues like family, school, drug addiction, child abuse, displacement and the violation of human rights. Through these programs, youth have begun to develop autonomy and leadership skills, and to participate in community and participatory processes like town council meetings, where they had once been excluded.
