Asociacion para la Promocion Social Alternativa (MINGA)
MINGA was founded in 1993 by a group of human rights defenders and is dedicated to representing political prisoners and the families of victims of violence, mainly from indigenous populations. The organization works along the Colombian-Venezuelan and Colombian-Ecuadorian border regions to protect and promote basic human rights by engaging in five projects: research, technical assistance, community education, media relations, and legal advice and representation.
