Wayna Rap: La Voz Clara Oculta del Hip Hop Boliviano
Wayna Rap is a youth organization of Aymara and Quechua Indigenous rappers from El Alto, the poorest district of La Paz. The group uses rap as a political voice for young people to promote Indigenous youth rights and contest unfair corporate infringement, political corruption and state repression with music, concerts and cultural preservation.
Project
Political Voice Through Hip Hop
To expand Wayna Rap's work to Cochabamba, where it will support the creation of a new youth hip-hop movement. In addition, Wayna will launch a new political hip-hop youth radio station and will design the first magazine on political hip hop.
