MOCUSABOL was founded in the 1980s by young Afro-Bolivians who migrated to La Paz from their ancestral lands in the Yungas region. The organization is dedicated to achieving the legal recognition of Afro-Bolivian people as Bolivian citizens who can exercise their rights and demand equal opportunities.

Advocating for Afro-Bolivians' Rights
To promote and defend the rights of Afro-Bolivians through human rights trainings, advocacy to establish anti-discriminatory public policies, and awareness-raising around newly promulgated laws benefiting the Afro-Bolivian population.
