Equidad founded in 2007, is the first alliance of sexually diverse grassroots organizations working to promote the economic, social, political and health rights of sexual minorities in Oruro, Bolivia, a poor mining town with high rates of immigration and sexual violence. The organization trains sexually diverse community groups to implement efficient education and health programs.

Equality, Justice and Democracy
To reduce discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation by facilitating human rights education, building women's leadership, conducting national and local lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights advocacy and providing safe space and psychosocial support for LGBT youth.
