FHSSA was established in 1999 to help generate resources and technical support for hospice organizations in sub-Saharan Africa. FHSSA supports programs that encourage and sustain hospice and palliative care—the holistic care of patients with advanced incurable diseases—and advocates for increased support of palliative care in Africa.
