To increase women's economic empowerment through literacy classes, a revolving loan program and trainings in innovative agricultural techniques and marketing gardening; and to promote peace in the border areas of southern Senegal and Guinee Bissau by networking with local allies and holding community-led advocacy campaigns.

Organizational Strengthening and Women's Leadership
To strengthen the organizational capacities of Usoforal by hiring an accountant, carrying an audit and training staff in community mobilizing and advocacy; to enhance the leadership capacities of a group of women to engage in peacebuilding through training in lobbying and negotations with different stakeholders.

Community Peace Dialogues
To strengthen peaceful coexistence in 23 conflict-affected villages by organizing community-led, inter-village dialogues focused on conflict mediation and workshops on conflict management for 72 community leaders. AJWS support will also enable CADP to increase its efforts to use civic education to prevent young people from joining the rebels.

Peacebuilding and Women's Leadership
To organize peace committees in two rural villages and train 900 women in leadership skills that will enable them to participate in local peacebuilding efforts and learn more about women’s rights. CASADES will also work to reduce the number of trans-border disputes by raising awareness about the proliferation and illicit trade of light weapons in the region.

To improve and sustain the living conditions of HIV-affected orphans and vulnerable children and people living with HIV/AIDS through medical support, market gardening activities and community mobilizing against stigma and discrimination.

Techno-Agriculture Innovation for Poverty Alleviation
To set up a pilot farming school to train rural youth in innovative farming techinques that include market gardening, natural crop protection, cattle fattening and low-pressure irrigation.
Plateforme des Femmes pour la Paix en Casamance (PFPC)
Women's Coalition for Peace in Casamance
To organize three public peacemaking dialogues at the national and regional level and train 110 women leaders in advocacy skills so that they can continue to mobilize for peace; and to support the broadcasting of 26 community-based radio talk shows aiming to foster constructive dialogue about the conflict and push for the resumption of peace negotiations.
