MARWOPNET works to raise awareness among women’s groups and organizations in the areas of human rights, democracy, gender equality and development in order to reinforce women’s capacity in conflict prevention, management and resolution.

Project

Regranting and Capacity Building for Community-Based Organizations

To increase women's civic and political participation during Liberia's 2011 elections by training 50 women as poll watchers and educating voters on upcoming constitutional amendement; and to enable two grassroots groups in the Mano River subregion to provide business skills training and start-up capital for women's income generating projects.
