IHI is a partnership between Liberians and Liberian-Americans, founded in 1986. The organization works to promote sustainable communities in the areas surrounding Monrovia through informal education and a community clinic providing full family health services as well as health education.
Project
Expansion of Health and Literacy Program
To promote community health and women's empowerment through expansion of IHI's adult literacy program and staffing of a health clinic; and to provide sex education to 200 teenage girls through a peer education program in order to prevent unwanted pregnancies and increase girls' confidence.
