Fortress of Hope Africa
Fortress of Hope Africa, founded in 2005, is a non-partisan, non-profit organization working with adolescent girls and youth living in the Embakasi division, a slum community in Nairobi. FOHEP's mission is to help young girls make informed choices concerning their lives to improve their social and economic status, and to foster an environment where they are recognized as key participants in the social, political and cultural facets of their society.
Project
Okoa Wasichana Wetu Project
To build the social and economic capital of adolescent girls through youth-led community outreach, safe spaces, psychosocial support and training on reproductive health, HIV and AIDS, life skills and entrepreneurship.
