Solidarité des Femmes de Fizi pour le Bien-Etre Familial (SOFIBEF)

SOFIBEF was founded in 1997 by a group of women INGO workers to promote democracy, peaceful coexistence and the rights of children and women. SOFIBEF works primarily with women survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. It organizes them into solidarity groups and provides them with holistic support, which includes legal counsel, assistance finding jobs and earning money, support to advocate for their land rights, and training on gender rights and leadership skills.
