LSC was founded in 2000 with the goal of stopping discrimination and gender-based violence in Democratic Republic of Congo, which prevent women from realizing their human rights. The organization currently runs 10 centers where women victims of gender-based violence receive counseling, legal support and assistance finding ways to earn a living to support their families.

Addressing Sexual Gender-Based Violence Through Video Advocacy
To prevent sexual and gender-based violence and to bring perpetrators to justice, by collecting survivors' video testimonials, lobbying and organizing to change the social and cultural attitudes that undermine the rights of women and girls.
