Eligibility

Before applying to Volunteer Summer, we suggest that you consider the following questions:

  • Are you currently 16 to 24 years of age? If you are in high school, are you completing either your junior or senior year?
  • Are you committed to participating in all aspects of this year-long program, including both the international and domestic components?
  • Are you interested in exploring your Jewish identity in the context of human rights and social justice?
  • Are you eager to serve a grassroots NGO by performing manual labor alongside community members?
  • Are you excited for an intensive group experience, in which you will study, work and process your experience together?
  • Are you committed to using this experience to raise awareness about human rights and global justice upon your return?
  • Are you willing to abide by the participant commitment statement?”
